Scarf Fashion Tips

Are you looking for an accessory that is simple and will transform any outfit into something amazing? Then you are looking for a scarf. Scarves aren’t just for staying warm in the cold months of fall and winter anymore and are an amazing accessory that you can enjoy all year long. We want to provide you with a few simple tips that will freshen your look on the fly as well as accent any outfit with ease. It is amazing how many people overlook the simple scarf when it has been so good to many of us.

1: Keep it in Your Purse
If you are out with friends and want to change up your look on the fly, a scarf will come in handy. This is why many people should keep one in their purse at all times. This will allow you to dress up any outfit when you are on the go and don’t have time to run home to change. All you need to do is tie it around your neck in a way that you like and you are on your way in a flash. This is what makes scarves so amazing and versatile that they can dress up even the simplest of tee shirts.

2: Out of the Box Thinking
When you are out with friends and they decide they want to go dancing but you don’t have time to run home and change, then a scarf can be your saving grace. Just tie your scarf around the waist to turn it into a fabulous belt and help dress up your current outfit. This is a simple trick that will allow you to go out on the town without much prep time and ensure that you are ready no matter what you were doing before.

3: The Quick Up-Do
This is Fashion Tip 3: Sometimes we just need to put our hair up while we are out shopping or going to lunch with friends. But say you only have a hair tie and a few bobby pins in your purse. Don’t worry, your scarf will save you from a boring ponytail and provide you with an elegant new look on the fly. Just twist your hair into a high set bun and tie your scarf around the base of the bun to give you a beautiful new look while you are on the go. Then simply use the bobby pins to secure both your hair and the scarf into place and you are good to go.

4: The Vest
If you are out and want to change your look so it is appropriate for any occasion, then just make a vest out of your scarf. This is a simple and quick way to change your look on the fly. Fold your scarf in half and tie the two corners together then tie the center to the top two that you just tied together. Then just slip it on and you are done.

Beauty and Fashion Tips

It doesn’t matter if you are skinny and tall, short, or if you are a plus sized woman – you can look incredibly beautiful and really turn some heads, if you simply had a few tools and tips to work with! Celebs like Delta Burke have clearly shown us that even plus sized women can be beautiful and stylish. The trick is in knowing what clothes to wear, what colors to chose from, and what accessories to wear. When choosing your wardrobe, the whole cliche about “black covering up fat” isn’t necessarily true.

If you look good in dark colors, awesome. Don’t listen to me! However, choosing the same colors for jackets and pants that are the same hue is also a really good idea as well because you aren’t sectioning off areas. It’s all ONE area which makes you look sinner. You can also wear blouses in a contrasting color as well if you needed to add a flair of drama to the outfit. When choosing colors and pattern think vertical not horizontal. Bold buttons down the jacket or shirt, a long necklace, vertical stripes – these are all ways to think vertical and they can help tremendously! It’s also important to wear colors that you feel good in.

Don’t like red? Don’t wear it! Love blue? Slap it on or add accents such as a shirt, or a necklace or a scarf. You can always tie in colors, you don’t necessarily have to have “loud” colors on in order to look better. In fact, I prefer not to wear loud colors. I stay away from pink, oranges and yellows at all cost! There is one thing that a lot of plus sized women do – they don’t wear the right sizes. If you are an eighteen don’t try fitting into a sixteen! All this ends up doing is accentuating those areas where you don’t want it to accentuate!

For example, if you don’t like your butt, and you buy a really tight pair of jeans, chances are your butt is going to look larger, so if this is something you want to avoid, then don’t wear tight jeans! Same goes with shirts or dresses as well! If you are out shopping someplace and you aren’t sure about a specific size or outfit or piece of clothing – ask the sales girl. These girls are more than likely willing to give their advice about any fashion tips you need. Been there done that myself! You could also take a friend along with you as well if you are too embarrassed to ask a sales person to give you advice.

Most friends will be brutally honest about how you look, some are not. If you have a variety of friends pick the honest one! Also, if you like wearing jewelry, try to follow the “wear the right size” cliche above. Don’t wear tiny little earrings or necklaces. Try wearing things like chunky bracelets like bangles, or long flowing necklaces! So you see just because you are a plus sized woman doesn’t mean you have to feel embarrassed or “out of place”. I believe that all women are equally attractive in their own ways.

And a lot of people are going to look past the outside, and see the inside. This is what I try to remind myself when I’m having a bad hair day or something of the likes. If they don’t look inside and all they care about is your looks? It’s not a person you would want to have in your life anyway. YOU are beautiful just the way you are and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Fashion Tips for Various Body

Being fashionable means so much more than following the latest trends and wearing designer clothes. The main point of being fashionable is to make most of what you have. Different body types have different assets and different problem areas. Here are a few fashion tips for the rectangle, the apple, and the hourglass body types.

The Rectangle-Shaped Body Type
Women with this type of body usually have slim hips, waists, and shoulders. In fact, in most cases these three body parts have roughly the same widths (hence the rectangle shape). They usually look athletic, especially if they belong to the slender side of the scale.

The arms and the legs are their best features. They also don’t have to worry about having to minimize other parts of their bodies. However, you should make it a point to try and create curves while showing off those slim extremities.

In order to do this, women with the rectangle-shaped body should try wearing long jackets as this will make you look lean. A good bra and detailed tops also work well as this will effectively complement your chest area.

The Apple-Shaped Body Type
If you have this type of body, then it is more than likely that you have narrow hips and a heavy-set upper body. This is exhibited by your broad shoulders, back, and ribs. However, your legs can be considered to be your body’s best asset. In order to counter-act this imbalance, you should make it your goal to try to make your torso seem longer while making it a point to show off those legs.

A one-color look works best. You should also try wearing a top with V-neck as this creates the impression that you have a longer torso. Dresses also do well in terms of hiding your tummy bulge. Make sure that your bra provides sufficient support as you will most likely need it.

The Hourglass-Shaped Body Type
This Hourglass body features a small waist with hips and shoulders at a similar proportion. Your curves are perhaps your best asset. It would do you well to flaunt them, but you should also be careful about overdoing it. After all, anything in excess is bad.

Stay away from baggy clothing as this will only hide your curves. Instead, you should try wearing wrap and fitted dresses as this will show off your figure better. Skinny jeans are also perfect for this purpose. You will also need to find a decent bra that accentuates your breasts. Belts are also a good idea for this body type as this will flaunt your body shape.

Fashion Tips for Plus Sized Women

It is not a sin to be curvy, healthy or plus sized. A fit and healthy body is much better than a skinny one. It is wrong to repent if you are a plus sized woman and is not able to select the right dress for yourself. Hence, instead of lamenting over your body size, knowing some fashion tips can really help you to wear your dress in a comfortable and stylish manner.

Avoid wearing Tight clothes

Skin hugging clothes are an absolute disaster for plus sized women. Such clothes accentuate the body parts and make you look odd. Always keep a measuring tape handy whenever you plan to shop for clothes and know your exact measurements. Do not buy such dresses which are less in size than your actual one. Choose those clothes which are dark colored as they hide your weight to a considerable extent.

Choose the right accessories

Accessories can really spruce up your look if worn in the right way. Many fashion outlets which sell plus sized dresses for women offer accessories that complement those clothes. You can either purchase those clothes or can also try something creative. For instance: adding a scarf around your neck along with the dress will really make you look beautiful. Remember, you can replace a belt and use a scarf instead when you are wearing a jeans to create a fashionable look.

Wear the proper footwear

You can select the footwear according to your choice, but resist from wearing high heals or stilettos as it might be heavier for them to carry off your weight. Moreover, you might also face difficulty to walk comfortably by wearing them. Online shopping stores are the best place to find the right foot wears.

Hairdo

When it comes to hairstyle, you really have to manage way in such a manner that it looks stylish. Do you know that a right hairstyle can make you look much slimmer than your look? Yes, keeping the right mane really work wonders. Do not keep long hair, rather wear a short style instead. Do not keep it too short like a bob cut. Keep your curls around your neck so that it looks beautiful. Ponytail does not look good as they tend to highlight the chubby cheeks and the round portions of the face. Hence, do not try them. If you still have difficulty finding out the right hairstyle, seek the advice of a good hairstylist.
